Requirements for granting scholarship

Accommodation Scholarship

Accommodation scholarship shall be awarded to a student who fulfils all of the following criteria:

1. is enrolled in a full-time degree programme (be it bachelor's, master's or doctoral)
2. is enrolled in a degree programme which is his/her first degree programme or is enrolled in a degree programme which is a follow-up to that degree programme or has changed his/her degree programme and has had his/her previous studies recognised (studies in degree programmes an applicant may have enrolled in and completed between 1 May and 30 October of one calendar year are not taken into account). In the case of multiple concurrently studied degree programmes, the scholarship is granted at most once and is granted for the degree programme in which the student has been enrolled earlier.
3. has not exceeded the standard length of studies in any of the degree programmes which he/she is concurrently enrolled in
4. does not have a permanent address within the district, where his/her studies take place
5. does not have a permanent address in Prague, if his/her place of study is in Prague
6. the scholarship for students of bachelor's and master's degree programmes is granted for the period of academic year excluding the months of July, August and September; the scholarship for students of doctoral degree programmes is granted for the period of academic year excluding the month of July

Social Bursary

1. As stated in Article 2 paragraph 1 letter c), social bursary is granted to students who are eligible for child allowance in increased rate according to specific legislation 1) they have to prove their eligibility by enclosing a written declaration of child allowance issued by the authority of state social support to their social bursary application submitted through the study administration office.
2. Social bursary is granted during the standard lenght of studies for every full calender month in which the student satisfies the requirements for granting social bursary, excluding July and August.
3. Social bursary per month is a multiple of the child allowance in increased rate, which is set by decree-law.
4. Social bursary is paid out based on Bursar's directive in compliance with Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports' (hereinafter reffered to as "the Ministry") rules for providing grants and subsidies to universities.
